Oceanco was established in 1987 by a group of South African private investors led by CEO, Richard Hein. The company built hulls and superstructures in South Africa before transporting them to various facilities in The Netherlands for fittings.

In 2002, Greek shipping magnate, Theodoros Angelopoulos took over Oceanco and set it on a path to build new yachts over 80 meters. Under this philosophy, the Amevi, Alfa Nero, Anastasia and Vibrant Curiosity were built.

In 2010, energy tycoon, Mohammed Al Barwani acquired Oceanco and continued positioning it as a major player in the megayacht industry. In 2013, he consolidated his position in the space by purchasing Turkish yacht builder, Proteksan Turquoise and renamed it to Turquoise Yachts.

Extra Yachts has announced the latest addition to its fleet, the X100 Triplex, a 28-meter tri-deck yacht designed to maximize interior and exterior space, comfort, and long-range cruising capabilities. The X100 Triplex represents the next generation of the Extra line, focusing on the balance of proportions and enhancing both marine aesthetics and functionality.The exterior design, developed by Studio Agon, features a notably higher bow, reminiscent of explorer vessels, which contributes to a more maritime appearance. Laura Brocchini Design crafted the yacht's interiors, while the shipyard itself handled the naval engineering. The yacht's design allows for internal volumes typically seen in vessels over 40 meters long, alongside expanded exterior decks.The X100 Triplex is equipped with large, floor-to-ceiling windows on both the main and upper decks, offering immersive views of the surroundings. The owner's cabin features retractable side windows, enabling a broad view of the bow and surrounding areas.The yacht’s aft co*ckpit is split across two levels: the lower level, near the beach club, includes a large sun lounger, while the upper level features an informal lounge area. The design integrates fold-down side terraces, enhancing the sense of space and connection with the sea.The upper deck includes a flexible lounge area designed to accommodate various furniture layouts, while the sun deck is equipped with a bar, sunbathing areas, and a dining table for up to 10 guests. Owners have the option to add a hot tub at the bow or a stern lifting platform for a tender.The interior layout offers three different configurations, allowing for either the galley or pantry to be situated on the main or upper deck. The main deck hosts a spacious lounge, the master cabin, an office, a bathroom with double sinks, and a large wardrobe. The upper deck includes the helm station, galley, and a formal dining area.Below deck, the yacht offers four double cabins with private bathrooms, including two VIP cabins with double beds and two twin cabins. The crew area accommodates up to five crew members in three cabins and includes a separate laundry facility. The stern garage provides storage for a nearly 4-meter tender, two Seabobs, and other equipment.The X100 Triplex is powered by two MAN engines, each producing 1,550 horsepower, allowing for a top speed of 15.5 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots. Grand Soleil Yachts has unveiled its latest model, the Grand Soleil 52 Performance, at the Cannes Yachting Festival, taking place from September 10th to 15th. This new yacht, designed as a fast and sporty cruising vessel, represents a modern evolution of the Grand Soleil 52, originally designed by German Frers in 1987.The Grand Soleil 52 Performance is available in two versions: "Performance" and "Race." Both versions cater to owners who prioritize a balance between comfort and performance, with the "Race" version offering additional features for more competitive sailing. The yacht’s design was a collaborative effort between naval architect Matteo Polli and Nauta Design, who aimed to retain the elegance and stability of its predecessor while introducing modern innovations.The yacht is constructed using a sandwich plate technique, which combines lightweight materials to maximize space and reduce weight. The interior layout includes three cabins, with the owner's cabin located in the bow, and a large dinette with ample storage and a fully equipped kitchen. The yacht also offers customizable interior finishes, with options including oak, grey oak, or teak.The deck plan differs between the two versions, with the "Performance" version featuring an "easy sailing" layout, while the "Race" version includes more advanced sailing features. Both versions are equipped with a German-style mainsheet system, and the mast is positioned to optimize the yacht's center of effort.The Grand Soleil 52 Performance also includes a range of features designed for long-distance sailing, such as a 24V electrical system, air conditioning with multiple control devices, and significant storage capacity for water and fuel. The yacht is powered by a 75 horsepower Volvo Penta engine, with an optional 80 horsepower Yanmar engine available.This new model is positioned as a continuation of the Grand Soleil Performance line, aiming to meet the demands of discerning yacht owners who seek both luxury and high performance on the water.Cantiere del Pardo was founded in 1973 in Italy. Pardo Yachts, the brand of Cantiere del Pardo dedicated to powerboats, was born in 2016. The first model, the Pardo 43, was launched in 2017. Benetti has confirmed the sale of two 50-meter superyachts from its B.Now series, marking a significant milestone for the Italian shipyard in the South American market. The transaction, which totals over 100 meters in length, was facilitated by Benetti’s Latam Sales Manager Marco Nuovo, under the leadership of Benetti Americas Country Manager Nick Bischoff, with support from FGI Yacht Group.These sales further solidify Benetti's presence in the Americas and highlight the company's leadership in luxury yacht manufacturing. The project involves the simultaneous construction of two custom superyachts, each reflecting Benetti's commitment to high craftsmanship and innovative design.The yachts will be built with steel hulls and aluminum superstructures, featuring exterior designs by British studio RWD and interiors by Benetti. The design emphasizes a strong connection with the sea, with a seamless flow between interior and exterior spaces, tailored to the owners' specifications.A key feature of these yachts is the Oasis Deck®, designed to enhance the onboard experience with fold-down wings that expand the deck area, an integrated infinity pool, and extensive full-height windows offering a 270-degree view from the main deck saloon. Invictus Yacht has revealed the first details of its latest flagship, the Invictus ST550. This 16.87-meter vessel, set to make its world debut next winter, represents a blend of traditional design elements and modern innovation. Designed by Christian Grande, the ST550 introduces a new approach to space distribution, with "S" standing for "Space" in its name.The ST550 retains Invictus Yacht's signature design features, such as the semi-reverse bow, while also drawing inspiration from classic shuttle boats. The yacht is designed to provide exceptional comfort for both medium and long cruises, with protective bulwarks ensuring safety on the foredeck.One of the standout features of the ST550 is its expansive living area in the bow, which sets a new standard for exterior layouts in this segment. Large, fully electric side windows and a glass door at the stern offer nearly uninterrupted views of the surrounding environment. The co*ckpit at the stern features a spacious living area that can be transformed into a sunbathing zone, enhanced by retractable bulwarks. Additionally, the yacht includes a large swim platform that can be submerged to facilitate tender launching.Below deck, the ST550 offers two cabins—Master and VIP—and two bathrooms. The middle of the yacht features a large living area, which can be customized to include a third cabin or a galley at the owner's request.The Invictus ST550 is designed to accommodate up to two IPS950 engines, emphasizing both performance and efficiency. While the full-scale debut of the yacht is planned for next winter, a 1:15 scale model will be on display at the Genoa Boat Show from September 19-24, 2024. The event will also showcase other notable models from Invictus Yacht, including the TT420, TT460, and four GT models: GT280, GT320, GT320S, and GT370. Additionally, the Capoforte brand will present its SX200, SX280i, SQ240i, and CX250 models.The Italian shipbuilder produced open type boats with multiple vocations.
