Battle Night: Cyber Squad - Best Heroes Tier List (July 2023)

Let’s talk about heroes in Battle Night. As you know, it’s a grind to actually upgrade them so you should choose wisely what heroes you want to spend your attention to. I have build a tier list that I frequently update to help you see what heroes are worth it and which ones are not.

As with every tier list, this also includes personal opinions and some heroes are debatable (what you can kindly comment below in the comments).

So, let’s get started.

The tiers are S > A > B > C with the “+” ones giving those heroes a small boost when they are in between tiers or simply are stronger than their “base” tier.

Within the tiers, the heroes are pretty much un-ranked. This means, just because multiple heroes have the “S” tier doesn’t mean that the one higher in the list is “more S Tier” than the other. This is just the sorting of the table tool. S Tier means S Tier.

Raphael

S+

Raphael is still on the top and dominating, even viable at purple. His dodge prayer mechanics will heal and negate the current and previous hit, making him so hard to kill (the enemy needs to hit basically twice through dodge)..

Build:Either do the Ocean build where you go full HP or Limbo with a lot of Dodge

Vidar

S+

Overall probably the best tank in Battle Night and also decent damage. Weak against multiple DPS enemies as Vidar can only take one of them into duel, but still extremely viable and useful in any game mode in Battle Night.

Just a very strong hero with her overall kit that is the 3rd best right now..

Not going to lie, I really through about even putting him here. You need to spend a ton of real money to unlock via VIP and build him and he's a whalte PvP hero. 99.99% of the player don't need to even think about him.

There are several rumors that he will get nerfed soon but the current kit with the way he works is making most players struggle against him, turning him into a really strong here right now. Deals loads of damage and turns that into HP, no need to say more, right?.

Wassily turns out to be a monster AoE and sustain DPS at A3, but isn't strong at purple. Deals crazy crit damage..

Rena

Her kit looks very promising but not overpowered. Might adjust the ranking but I feel she is a good hero.

Beamon

Beamon is a good tank overall and deals good DPS as well, but does damage based on him losing health. In the right situations, he can pull off insane damage but needs accuracy..

Beckinsale

Beckinsale applies marks and then blows the enemy up and has some healing and damage immunity. Deals solid DPS and the marks can't get dodged but is no outstanding DPS hero compared to the ones in the higher tiers..

Cucho

Cucho needs to build flame runes to release his strong attack which bases randomly. He also has high damage with his burn but needs a burn team to shine and at least have him red plus exclusives to be able to survive well and pack a punch..

Lavinia shines at A3 but is kind of slow before but still offers nice utility. Before that get A1 and A2 her 1st and 3rd skill for speed but this will leave tank potential and healing factors on the table. Aim for A3 and she's going to be a beast..

Legolas

Legolas is also a DPS hero that uses and needs DoT to stack to really work. Often that's not possible but passive and normal attacks are strong enough to still make a good appearance..

Mikaela

Mikaela is a very strong debuffer that removes crit and attack from enemies as well as deflect their healing. Only gets maximum effect when combined with a hero that applies burn damage to enemies, for that reason not higher on the tier list..

Yae Kumo

Not broken but also not a bad hero, pretty strong from the start and can perform really well in a dot team..

Wukong

Apply extra marks formore damage overall, not the greatest hero on his own but in the right teams a great boost..

Misteltein

Misteltein is one of the most insane damage-dealing heroes in Battle Night but also glass cannon. Her role is to rip enemies on turn one, basically, but if that fails she will go down really fast. Useful in many situations but can be squishy. i'd love to rank her higher but that's an issue you have to deal with..

Nintu

Nintu provides a good pack of DPS with a lot of AoE. Can stun but rely on applying her marks to snowball, but that is not happening that frequently. Still, overall a very reliable source of damage..

Sone deals good damage and offers support for damage dealers plus debuffs for the enemy. His weak spot is his health and defense, so he's fragile and needs to go first to effectively pack a punch..

Despite many calling Eva not a good hero, she is good but quite fragile until your get her to higher rarity where she can be really powerful in the right team setups.

A-Zhao

A-Zhao has a kind of weird skill kit that needs to kill enemies and her team to proc her abilities. More a hero you want to use early to mid-game and falls off later compared to the heroes higher on the list. Also requires A1 and Risefinch as a minimum investment to be viable..

Dreyfus is also an odd DPS hero as he needs to be attacked to work well (and also has taunt for that). Needs to get a ton of dodge and he will deal viable damage..

Harpe

Harpe is an Odd DPS hero with damage over time and extra attack. The problem is that damage over time will get removed often and his damage output relies on that. Can perform solid but I'm not overwhelmed..

Kratos

Kratos is a good AoE damage-dealer but bad early in the game, I mean really bad. Later becomes really good and can tank a little as well. Only downside is the lack of speed and sometimes you feel you watch slow motion..

Poll

Poll deals very constant DPS all around and carries quite well. Takes on the easiest target first and the only problem is that his health is not that much and his burst can be easily countered by Raphael's healing..

Sayung

Sayung is a sustain area DPS hero and less glass cannon compared to Mistelstein but his kit needs crit to work well, and I feel it misses the last bit to really take off big time..

Charlotte

Charlotte is one of the best early-game tanks in Battle Night with self heals and can sustain a lot. Her only downside is that she can't really taunt so she often ends up as the last survivor (what you don't want a tank to be)..

Gilbert

Gilbert can be one of the hardest-hitting heroes in Battle Night with insane single-target crits. Also immune to control. His weakness is when his one-hit-kill mechanics don't work (dodge, HP pool, missing), he will sleep the next round and do nothing. Squishy as f***..

Gassol deals damage over time (DoT) support hero that will spread his DoT around and buffs your backline heroes..

Garuda

Garuda can heal up DPS heroes well as she gives them bloodsucking and can remove DoT.

Skadi

D+

Skadi how damage but good crowd control. Falls off later in the game.

Westerly

D+

Westerly's healing depends on his attacks and grants additional rage for your team and can clear DoT. Max out at purple so keeping him alive at late game is hard, but but can be still useful in situations.

Phonoi

D+

Phonoi is a support hero similar to Minamoto but boosts team survivability by lowering enemy accuracy.

Christina

D+

Christina is a pure AoE DPS hero and needs crit to really make an impact.

Minamoto

D+

Minamoto provides healing and dodge in the time in between. More powerful early in the game when accuracy isn't that common. Fades out later in the game.

Fino

Fino is a support hero that will buffs your team's accuracy well and also debuffs the enemy team. Not that useful earlier in Battle Night but can become niche counter to Nymeria or Mina/Phonoi teams.

Caitlyn

Caitlyn might be useful very early in the game but becomes a pure fodder hero after that.

Patroclus

Patroclus is a nice tank early and towards mid-game but falls off later.

Grinborth

Grinborth is hard to rank as you will get him in VIP packages and need him to evolve other paid heroes, so spend his copies as rarely as possible. But not anywhere close to meta..

Elva

Elva applies silence, is good for crowd control, and can heal when struck critical. Still a hero you shouldn't use past lvl 40.

Naomi

Naomi works mid-game alright with two of her in the team that can avoid the tanks and stun backline enemies but gets useless late-game.

Arteta

Arteta is not really worth using except for fill early game. Fodder material.

Cassini

Cassini can block skill usage of the enemies but is pure early game crowd control hero that falls off later in the game.

Caledon

Caledon has a built-in counterattack and serves as early game tank but falls off later in the game.

Area

Arae applies a damage over time but her damage hasn't large multipliers so just serves as fodder hero later in the game.

Mayne

Mayne is a specific fodder hero to Zhao so always keep 3 copies of her around.

Tiger

Tiger is a sustain DPS hero and his damage is permanently increasing when any unit dies (ally or enemy). Can be used to cheese but that's only useful in some scenarios and is squishy.

Camilla

Camilla is needed to get Kratos to purple, so don't do anything else with her than collecting the copies.

Lyse

Lyse is an okayish AoE support hero using damage over time but low base attack and needs to run with other DoT heroes actually to do anything.

Eunice

Eunice applies DoT when she crits and only attacks frontline so many ways to counter her directly. Not really useful..

Hanna

Hanna is a support hero that prevents crits by rebuffing enemies. Especially early in the game weaker as crit is not that much of an issue there but becomes more important later. But she can't evolve past purple so by the time her debuffs would be nice it's really hard to keep her alive..

Thane

Thane might be useful very early in the game but after that becomes a pure fodder hero.

Evelynn

Evelynn is used to evolve Dreyfuss so keep her copies to do that.

Attis

Attis deals AoE DPS that can synergize with crowd control heroes and bypass the frontline. More a hero you use early and mid-game and falls off compared to other AoE DPS heroes later.
